An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Paediatric Team in the role of a 24hpw Band 3 Assistant JACC Coordinator/Support Secretary working between our teams at SLH & BRI.

Joint Assessment clinic for communication [JACC] is a specialist clinic specifically to assess those children with social communication difficulties and is a multidisciplinary clinic with Consultant, Nurse Specialists, Speech and Language Therapists and Psychologist

The post holder will assist the JACC Coordinator in requesting reports from schools and other health and support services and preparing them for the assessment, and also with the booking of appointments and typing of reports/clinic letters along with the recording referrals onto both EPR and Systm1

The post holder will work within a multi-disciplinary team, and will also be responsible for a range of duties related to patient pathway management, including; diary management, audio transcription and word processing of clinical letters, ensuring RTT is recorded accurately with relation to National and Local RTT standards, production of reports and other correspondence as required by the Medical Team and Team manager. The post holder will be expected to cross cover colleagues in times of annual leave and sickness.

An appropriate speed and accuracy of typing is required for this role and this will be assessed at interview. Medical secretarial experience is desirable but not essential. You will have a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels. You will have enthusiasm, motivation and demonstrate pride in your work.
