Facilities Support Officer

Job Introduction
As** Facilities Support Officer** **at Sodexo at **Trinity Square Student Accommodation in Gateshead**, you are also a problem solver, multi-tasker, and safety promoter. You will be on hand to deliver a courteous, professional, customer-focused out-of-hours support service within a student accommodation site that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

**What you’ll do**:
- Provide out-of-hours coverage of the site help desk and reception to enable residents to receive prompt support at the point of need.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergency situations.
- Monitor CCTV to ensure the security of the site and prevent unlawful access.
- Conduct high-visibility pro-active patrols of all parts of the site to reassure residents and identify potential and emerging issues.
- Respond to minor maintenance issues or escalate through the appropriate process for more serious issues so as to minimise inconvenience to residents.
- Manage incidents outside of hours, such as fire alarms, intruders, anti-social behaviour, first aid, etc.
- Provide pastoral support to students in need, or provide appropriate advice on where to seek support.
**What you bring**:
- SIA Licence (Manned Guarding/Door Supervision)
- First Aid at Work
- A minimum of 2 years Frontline frontline security industry experience
- Experience working with young people (17-25)
- Experience delivering excellent customer service, preferably within the hospitality or education sectors
