Our Activities Co-ordinators play a vital role in planning and delivering meaningful activities for our shared home communities.

As an Activities Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our home and will be comfortable being an active part of our busy team. Your responsibilities include the planning and implementation of activities that go beyond the ordinary, ensuring that every resident feels included and engaged. The ability to think creatively, generate new ideas and establish connections with local businesses and communities is essential.

We are seeking individuals with keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, a passion for taking eye-catching photography and video and a genuine team spirit.

Adaptability and being able to contribute to the needs of the home is crucial, making you a versatile member of our dynamic team. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with an extraordinary level of creativity who has a passion for working with people in care.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Plan and deliver a dynamic and varied weekly activities programme for our residents, being mindful of individual needs and adapting the sessions to suit.
- Maintain accurate records of activities to monitor, record and evaluate individual and group participation and success using the company care plan software PCS.
- Manage a monthly activities budget to deliver a diverse programme of events and activities inside the home and externally.
- Evaluate and adapt sessions accordingly for the popularity of sessions for residents, including maintaining and supporting pre-existing hobbies.
- Create positive relationships with local community groups to integrate residents into daily community life, ensuring they can partake in desired hobbies and interests.
- Recruit volunteers to assist with social opportunities.
- Assist the Home Manager in planning special events both internally and externally.
- Engage with relatives and staff regarding special individual requirements and cultural celebrations.
- Promote the home in the community, encourage the use of communal spaces and assess the effectiveness of the activities programme on a regular basis.
- Assist and support residents as and when required for emergency cover.
