Job Description 1

We are now hiring for a BCH Payroll Systems Administrator to provide essential support, development and maintenance of the collaborated payroll system.

You will be working within a team of 14 of people. We are a Payroll team and this role is important to contribute to achieving the vision, purpose and values of Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Constabularies by enabling the payroll system to meet organisational needs.

Every day is different whatever your role in policing, so here’s an overview of your key responsibilities:

- Maintain and monitor the payroll systems to ensure completeness, accuracy and integrity of all data relating to payroll and pensions.
- Provide support to users of the payroll systems, including guidance and advice on processes, best practice and policy as well as support to Payroll Team Leaders including assisting with payroll processing during staff absences.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining payroll reports providing a reporting capability within Business Objects.
- Project management of future system developments and changes including acceptance testing.
- Analyse the payroll system structure and identify, develop and implement associated improvements, driving transformational change to improve the way payroll operates around end-to-end processes.
- Identify and research possible future developments and, with the preparation of business cases, identify benefits to the forces including efficiencies and savings.
