An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Respiratory Physiology Team at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. This post is suited for those who are already have significant experience in respiratory physiology and want to enhance their leadership, clinical and management skills. This role will be pivotal in the development and management of an evolving Lung Function and Sleep Service within the Respiratory Medicine Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Respiratory Physiologist to join and lead the team.

As a service we provide a wide range of diagnostic tests within both hospital and community settings, such as full lung function, Lung Clearance Index (LCI), sleep and bronchial challenge tests. We work very closely with other specialist services to offer an MDT approach to our patients, whilst providing our staff with the opportunity to become involved with patient care across a wide range of conditions including; CF, Asthma, Pierre Robin Sequence (PRS) and Research.
