**Lead Attendance Officer -** Join Our Dynamic Team

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a **Lead Attendance Officer** at our vibrant co-educational secondary school in the heart of London's bustling Newham Borough.

**Lead Attendance Officer Responsibilities**:

- Take the lead in monitoring and improving attendance levels across the school.
- Implement effective strategies to promote regular attendance and punctuality among students.
- Work closely with students, parents, and external agencies to address any barriers to attendance.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, lateness, and absences.
- Provide support and guidance to students experiencing attendance issues.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement targeted interventions for students with persistent absence.
- Conduct home visits and meetings with parents to address attendance concerns.

**Lead Attendance Officer Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of improving attendance levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of students.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to attendance and safeguarding.
