Are you passionate about working with youths and making a positive impact on their lives? Our client, a leading organisation in the youth justice sector, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Engagement Officer to join their team. With the support of the Youth Offending Team Head of Service and Team Managers, you will play a crucial role in providing direct services to young people subject to Statutory Court Orders.
As a Youth Engagement Officer, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of young people, each with their own unique needs and challenges. Your main responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing innovative and tailored plans, and providing case management and supervision. You will also have the chance to contribute to work-streams and provide written and verbal reports to the Youth and Crown Court.
To excel in this role, you will need to have previous experience working with challenging children, preferably within a youth justice setting. Strong report writing skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multi-agency/public/voluntary setting. A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures is also required.
Our client is looking for someone who is empathetic, understanding, and committed to a child-first and trauma-informed approach. With your expertise and passion, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, their families, and the wider community.
