As a Data Engagement Officer you’ll work directly with the Data Engagement Lead, to deliver cross-government engagement to support development of the Data Marketplace, which will provide a front door to discover, access and share government data in a legal, ethical and trusted way.

**As a Data Engagement Officer, your main responsibilities will be**:

- Lead on Engagement with other government departments for the Data Marketplace
- Create an engagement & Stakeholder plan
- Work closely with SMEs engaged within the project
- Develop strategic relationships to support delivery of the Data Marketplace
- Work flexibly and collaboratively on a range of projects where
- support a culture of agile working across your team

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to balance changing priorities, deal with ambiguity, using astute judgement to make decisions in the absence of full facts
- Significant experience of building and maintaining effective relationships, and using a variety of channels to get the best results
- Working with multiple stakeholders across a large and diverse audience
- Communicating to data expert and non-technical audiences and producing briefings, presentations and external communications
- Handling both quantitative and qualitative evidence to make decisions
- Taking the initiative to solve problems, and deliver results collaboratively, but independently
- An understanding of HMG’s data agenda and how this fits into the broader digital strategy
