Responsible for the day to day management of the UK Networks risk portfolio through engagement with all the Networks teams; in doing so enable the function to effectively manage risk

**What will you be doing?**
- Manage risks directly contributing to the Telecoms Security Act for UK Networks, ensuring that risks are captured and managed in line with the corporate Risk Management methodology and maintained in the Risk Management System.
- Lead workshop sessions to facilitate the effective identification, articulation and assessment of risks and the planning of remediation actions. Ensure the provision of regular risk and action updates from the appropriate stakeholders.
- Support the development, management and communication of risk management standards and guidance and promote a culture of risk awareness within the department in order to capture consistent, high quality risk information
- Develop and maintain appropriate risk management documentation such as meeting notes / action trackers / risk tolerance forms.
- Work with risk management peers across other departments to ensure consistency of risk management and promote process excellence, and to effectively manage cross-functional risks.
- Support the reporting of risks to senior management through the preparation of briefing

**Who are we looking for?**
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 27001 an advantage but not essential.
- Experience of risk management, preferably within a technology environment.
- Able to lead/facilitate workshop sessions in order to clearly define risks and action plans.
- Strong team player and collaborator, builds effective working relationships.
- Able to work effectively without supervision and deliver results in a complex/ambiguous environment.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, able to assimilate and summarise complex technical issues.
