**What you’ll do**

Vodafone has the contractual obligation to manage and operate a large energy providers own CNI Class Operational Telecoms fibre network. This includes Service Delivery Management, Asset Management, Inventory Management, Project Delivery and Incident 2nd/3rd Line Support. The role is critical to providing these functions with timely accurate data and support as well of live incident on-call support throughout the contract term.

The Fibre Network Engineer will be responsible for owning and maintaining the customers national network data across a wide range of systems and databases. The role will ensure that data sources are up to date and that integrity is maintained between them. This involves the use of GIS, CAD, Visio and Excel. The role provides statistical and analytical network reports to both internal and customer stakeholders and operational functions as required.
The role is part of a one week in three 24 hour on-call support rota providing real time support and direction to field based suppliers during incidents. This involves the operational use of customer owned remote fibre diagnostic systems.

**Who you are**
- Ability to use and read optical fibre test equipment
- Ability to use SmallWorld GIS
- Ability to use Remedy Change & Incident Management
- Demonstrable knowledge of fibre network construction & architecture practices
- SC cleared or the ability to obtain
- Demonstrable MS Word & Excel capability
- Demonstrable AutoCAD capability
