Astroscale UK & Europe are seeking a first-class IT Service Desk Team Leader to join a growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team delivering world class IT Support to colleagues in a global organisation. We need someone who is self-motivated, can work to tight deadlines and update documentation as you go. Managing the service desk and ensuring tickets are resolved in line with our SLAs. The role will see you become the Head of IT’s right hand.

**Responsibilities
The primary focus of the role is to run an effective and continuously improving service desk:

- Manage the IT Services Helpdesk and team members in the day-to-day running of the IT department
- Dealing with BAU IT requests and problems
- Ensure the Helpdesk exceeds our evolving SLA targets
- Ensure the Joiners, Changers, and Leaver's process are followed correctly.
- Assist Head of IT with monthly KPI of SLA, Outages, and top 10 ticket tags
- Continue to build out the Helpdesk self-service solutions. Adding more guides as required
- Setting up and supporting IT equipment (Mobile phones, PC/ Laptops, routers/switches, Printers/ Scanners)
- Maintaining backups
- Help maintain hardware stock levels and keeping IT lab & datacentre tidy
- Assist the Head of IT with, IT projects, Network management and Application management The post holder is also expected to undertake additional responsibilities which would include the scoping and support of any sensitive IT deployments, liaising with business leaders as required to ensure that IT provides the necessary support. Accordingly, this position will require the post-holder to have, or be eligible to obtain, UK SC Clearance.

**Essential Skills
- Fantastic communication skills, with an ability to work with business stakeholders at all levels.
- Two years of experience in a Team Leader role, with proven experience in line and performance management.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure, covering Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID and other aspects.
- Experience in supporting on-premise and cloud networks (AWS VPCs, on-prem firewalls, switches and access points).
- AWS administration
- Depth of understanding, and experience in the administration of, platforms including Windows and Linux.
- Experience in eliciting requirements from engineers and turning them into delivered IT capabilities.

**Desirable skills
Terraform, Ansible and other cloud automation technologies
