Senior Employee Relations Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our specialist in-house Employee Relations (ER) team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and self-motivated individual to support the service.
We are looking for a highly professional and enthusiastic individual, with experience of advising managers on employee relations issues, of undertaking investigations and drafting investigation reports. For this, you will need strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. You will be required to hold a CIPD qualification, or equivalent, with experience of supporting managers through complex case management and managing a caseload of formal investigations. In addition, you will be able to work well under pressure and in an environment with conflicting demands on your time.
Critical to this role is the ability to undertake disciplinary and employee led complaint (ELC) (otherwise referred to as grievance) investigations; writing impartial, evidence-based reports; presenting at hearings and providing support to chairs at formal hearings.
Working closely with other members of the ER team, the post holder will be responsible for dealing with multi-disciplinary staff groups as well as providing high quality ER advice across Trust, in line with Trust policy and procedure and legal frameworks; and delivering ER-related training to Trust managers.
The ER team provides advice and support to line managers and staff on a wide range of ER issues. You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise effectively in order to manage a busy caseload of varying case types including disciplinary, ELC, raising concerns (whistleblowing), performance and sickness absence management.
