Eat a Pitta
**Head of People** reports directly to the Head of Operations and managing Director of the company and will be working closely with both on a daily basis.
- Head of people is responsible for overseeing recruitment processes & onboarding, learning & development, performance & well-being, employee relations, & ensuring the company is operating according to all current HR & employment legislation. You will have overall responsibility for the support, coaching and training of our people.
- With the business changing as we expand, we are shifting focus between HR (legislations, processes, new ways of working) and Learning and Development (better supporting our teams through new training materials courses, and better engagement). This role offers an exciting opportunity to identify business needs and revolutionise ways of working, and the Head of People will lead this.

**Your job role will include but is not limited to the following tasks**:

- Work closely with the whole Operations Team, ensuring key stakeholders are bought into company priorities;
- Responsible for smooth recruitment & onboarding, engaging partners to ensure we have up-to-date processes and procedures, and supporting Store managers to deliver a brand-standard approach;
- Ensure that company procedures and practices are employment law compliant;
- Manage grievance, disciplinary, dismissals and redundancy processes alongside the Head of Operations;
- Conduct job evaluations/appraisals in collaboration with OPS, Store or Kitchen Managers;
- Provide weekly reports to the director on HR-related issues by store;
- Create and roll out new processes, training, and policies to ensure we are a great place to work and legally compliant;
- Coordinate the onboarding process for successful applicants;
- Negotiate terms and conditions of employment alongside the Head of Operations;
- Provide advice and play a major role in work reviews and change processes;
- Update and maintain the employee's HR paperwork;
- Write and present information briefings on a range of HR-related topics;
- Advise on staff development and participate in their professional progress;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices;
- Consult on issues related to workplace relations and performance management;
- Provide advice and assistance on policies, procedures, legislation, and enterprise agreements;
- Monitor and respond to staff issues fast and appropriately;
- Support the Head of Operations to utilise the CPU for meetings and staff training in the training room.
