**Head of Representation and Student Leadership**

Strategic oversight, influencing, change making and empowerment; we’re looking for someone to take student representation at Bristol SU to the next level. Could you be our new Head of Representation and Student Leadership?

Our Head of Representation and Student Leadership will drive student voice, representation and engagement into the heart of what we do at Bristol Students' Union. They will provide leadership to develop and shape our approach to academic representation, student engagement in academic quality and enhancement, SU democracy and student-led change making. The person in this role will be the directorate's expert on all things student representation; they will champion students, supporting our teams to engage and empower them to campaign and make change whilst at Bristol. They will have oversight of two teams at the SU, providing leadership, support and encouraging creativity and radical ideas.

At Bristol SU, we’re soon to be launching our new strategy and we’re interested in doing student representation differently. We’re looking for someone who can think creatively about student voice, specifically around academic representation, to enable our network of almost 1000 student reps to influence, achieve and develop.

Our Head of Representation and Student Leadership will have a key role in supporting our seven full-time elected officers to be the best representatives they can be and as an SU senior manager, they will take ownership of key projects including student leader induction, the development of our academic voice structure and core democratic events. The person in this role will also be the manager of some of the SU's most important relationships, particularly with academic faculties.

**Hours**: 35 hours per week (to be worked flexibly, hybrid working available)

**Salary**: £37,896 to £42,240 (starting at the bottom of the scale)

**Contract**: Permanent

**Closing date**: 12pm Monday 16th January
