Job Summary: The Head of Growth and Expansion will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic business development plans to drive growth and expansion in the South West of England market.

Key Responsibilities

Market Analysis & Strategy Development: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities within the construction sector. Develop and implement a tailored strategic business development plan aligned with the unique characteristics and demands of the South West of England market.

Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management: Actively pursue new customer leads and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with project management, preconstruction, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery from inception to completion. Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through collaboration with the business development team.

Contract Negotiation & Management: Discuss contracts with customers to secure favourable and lower-risk terms suitable for the project type and customer.

Brand Representation & Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings. Build and maintain a professional network to promote our brand and services.

Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on business development activities, market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to senior management. Utilize data-driven insights to refine and adapt strategies as necessary.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and extensive networking experience.
  • Takes a leadership role on external committees and working groups to influence industry and business thinking.
  • Ability to travel as needed within the South West region.
