Gateshead College is committed to supporting students and preparing them for a successful future. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to take on the role of Learner Recruitment and Progression Officer for Skills Bootcamps.

**You’ll be responsible for**:

- Facilitating and managing employability activities as part of Skills Bootcamp programme delivery, engaging employers across a wide range of sectors and arranging interviews for students, ensuring alignment with career aspirations and employer requirements.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with employers, industry professionals, and organisations to create a wide range of progression opportunities for Adults on our Skills Bootcamps.
- Collaborating with curriculum departments to integrate employability, employer-related activities and guaranteed interview opportunities into programmes effectively.
- Assessing and matching students' skills, interests, and goals with suitable employers, interview offers and ongoing career progression, job opportunities and apprenticeship vacancies.
- Conducting regular check-ins with students during their programme to ensure a positive and valuable learning experience.
- Monitoring and evaluating the success, outcomes and impact of Skills Bootcamps programs and provide recommendations for improvement.

**We’d like you to have**:

- Proven experience in coordinating learner and employer-facing programmes, employability activity or similar initiatives, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with students, employers, and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain focus on targets and deadlines.
- Familiarity with the local job market and industry trends to identify and engage suitable employers and gain interview and progression opportunities for Skills Bootcamp participants.
- Proficiency in using computer software and online platforms for tracking outcomes, maintaining databases, and generating reports.
- A passion for supporting students' career development and a commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive environment.
