Southampton Mental Health Division works in partnership with Southampton City Council to offer mental health care and support to service users aged 18 and upwards and we are looking for a competent Administration Secretary to join the West Community Mental Health Team. You will be required to provide a range of administrative provisions to a lively, supportive service who deliver the best possible care for our patient group. You will be a strong, compassionate individual with proven administration skills and an eagerness to learn. You will be required to carry out your responsibilities autonomously as well be a key part of the team and always aims for a high standard of work.

The main function of this role is to support the day-to-day management of a busy administration service. This includes offering support to the clinical team, typing correspondence and reports and entering pertinent information to electronic systems as indicated. You will also be required to answer telephones and act as a first point of contact for patients, carers and other professionals, using excellent communication skills at all times. You will work closely with your administrative colleagues and support the Business Administration Manager for the team to ensure efficient streamlined processes are developed to maximise resource, ensuring deadlines are met.
