**Risk & Compliance Manager**

Transport for Wales are proud to promote a fantastic opportunity to play a critical role in a high-profile organisation, GCRE.

The Global Centre of Rail Excellence (‘GCRE’) is a special purpose vehicle being established by the Welsh Government in partnership with Powys County Council and Neath and Port Talbot County Borough Council. UK Government, via BEIS, are also making a substantial financial contribution.

We are looking for an individual who understands the importance of governance being the perfect mixture of both people and processes, someone who is confident in disseminating governance and regulatory information in a clear and concise manner. You'll also be highly collaborative and work alongside the business to ensure continued high standards of governance are achieved.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- The Risk & Compliance Manager will be involved in establishing a positive governance culture where adhering to well-crafted and efficient business processes will allow the GCRE to thrive.
- The Risk & Compliance Manager will work closely with other senior colleagues to bring early momentum and a strong sense of direction to the Company’s activities.

**Qualifications**:
The post holder will be required to demonstrate the following:

- Working knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018
- Possess good drafting skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong organisational skills and ability to priorities workload
- Good leadership and influencing skills
- Prior experience of risk management / compliance
- Law degree preferable but not essential

- Bydd y Rheolwr Risg a Chydymffurfiaeth yn gweithio’n agos gyda chydweithwyr uwch eraill i ddod â momentwm cynnar ac ymdeimlad cryf o gyfeiriad i weithgareddau’r Cwmni.
