**Location**:Liverpool - office based with flexibility to work from home occasionally

**Job Type**: Full-time 9-5, but would consider 4 days.

**Salary**: £38,500, 25 days holiday

**Responsibilities**:

- Leadership and Vision: _
- Provide visionary leadership to the organisation, setting strategic direction in line with the charitys mission, values, and long-term goals.
- Inspire, energise, and support the organisations staff, members, volunteers, and trustees, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
- Ensure the voice of members remains at the centre of decision-making processes, promoting their active involvement in shaping the charitys direction.
- Evaluation and Impact Management:_
- Develop and implement a comprehensive evaluation and impact management strategy, establishing robust systems to measure and monitor the outcomes and effectiveness of the charitys programs and services.
- Utilize data and evidence to drive evidence-based decision-making, continuously improving and adapting the charitys approaches to maximise its impact
- Partnership and Business Development:_
- Lead on partnership development initiatives, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local authorities, funding bodies, and other relevant organisations.
- Explore new business development opportunities, identify potential funding sources, and secure partnerships that align with the charitys objectives, ensuring its financial sustainability and growth.
- Governance and Financial Control:_
- Work closely with the chair and trustee board, providing regular updates and reports, and fostering a positive and constructive working relationship.
- Support the trustees in maintaining good governance practices across all aspects of the charity, ensuring compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Take responsibility for financial control, working in collaboration with the finance team to develop and manage the annual budget, monitor financial performance, and maintain transparency and accountability.
- Impact Monitoring and Risk Management:_
- Establish and monitor key indicators of the organisations impact, regularly reviewing and reporting on progress toward strategic objectives.
- Stay informed about changes and developments in the external environment that may affect the organisation, including relevant policies, regulations, and funding opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges, implementing effective risk management strategies to safeguard the charitys reputation and sustainability.
- Fundraising and Income Generation:_
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to ensure a sustainable income stream, working to secure individual, corporate, legacy, and trust donations to support the charitys programs and services.
- Explore innovative fundraising approaches and develop compelling cases for support, engaging potential donors and supporters in the mission and work of the organisation.
- Media Representation:_
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the organisation, representing it to the media and participating in interviews and public speaking engagements.
- Deliver clear and impactful messaging that communicates the charitys mission, values, and achievements, raising public awareness

A proven track record of successful leadership and management, ideally at a senior level within the charity sector or a related field. Strong experience in strategic planning, organisational development, and implementing effective operational plans. Demonstrable experience in partnership development, business development, and securing funding from various sources. An understanding of governance principles and experience in supporting trustees in their roles.
