About The Role
**PHS National Operations Manager - Dublin**
**The Purpose of the role**:

- Lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent service to Hygiene customers across the Republic of Ireland.
- Direct and control all operations and appropriate commercial matters to deliver the Company’s plan and objectives without compromising standards in respect of health and safety, people, quality and service.
- Ensure Key KPI’s are effectively communicated and achieved throughout all roles within the Operations team.
- As a member of the Management team of Phs Ireland, contribute to the overall success of the business.

**Leadership**:

- Understand what is required then design and deliver the Operations department plan.
- Collaborate closely with the wider Hygiene team in the UK to share best practice and void re-inventing the wheel.
- Lead, motivate and direct the team as an effective role model.
- Provide an environment that drives colleague engagement and therefore high productivity in line with Company values.
- Seek out, product and act on management information which can assist in the efficient running of the Operations department.
- Take personal responsibility for the recruitment, management, and development of a team of drivers, technicians, and administrators.

**People Management & Development**:

- Undertake resource planning processes, ensuring staffing levels are efficient and deliver high completion rates and high productivity.
- Manage resources effectively to beat budget without compromising the Operations department’s KPIs.
- Fulfil all aspects of performance management including setting and agreeing standards of performance, recognising good performance, preparing individual plans for improved performance, and monitoring and regularly reviewing performance.
- Ensure that all Operations department colleagues fully understand, are committed to, and deliver their KPIs and
- responsibilities.
- Ensure all appropriate policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.

**Quality, Service & Delivery**:

- Manage effective scheduling which delivers high completion, high satisfaction and high productivity
- Drive and review performance system and KPIs.
- Ensure that all processes and procedures are effectively managed.
- Ensure all KPIs for all roles are achieved - performance manage all roles ensuring quality and performance.
- Maintain the service fleet in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, the Company Transport Policy and ROI legislation and regulations

**Education & Certification**:

- Hold a valid driving licence (essential)
- NEBOSH Managing Safety or ROI equivalent
- Recognised Management qualification (desirable)

**Job Specific/technical requirements**:

- Management of a blue-collar route-based workforce
- PC literate with a knowledge of Microsoft Office and use of general IT systems
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and its importance in the workplace

**Experience**:

- High levels of drive and energy
- Proven leadership and motivational skills
- The ability to manage and motivate blue collar route-based teams
- Focus on delivery and service excellence

- A strong team player with excellent communication skills at all levels
- A high level of commitment and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to challenge existing practices and put forward different methods and ways of working to improve the Operations department and the wider business
