Band 2 Ward Clerk Maternity

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our busy Maternity Ward covering Maternity Assessment Unit (MAU) and Delivery Suite.

You will work in a culture that puts the patient first, where our colleagues feel proud of their role and are valued for their contribution.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised individual to provide outstanding service to all who visit the department. The posts are for a 6 month period with the potential of securing a permanent post at the end of this time

The successful applicants will be confident working within a team in a fast-paced environment and have excellent IT skills, be comfortable communicating with patients and colleagues at all levels and work quickly under pressure.

The post holder will be the first person that women/birthing people meet when they attend the Maternity Assessment Unit and/or Delivery Suite, they will be responsible for greeting member of the public in a friendly manner, admitting on EPR and assisting the clinical staff with administrative duties.

You will be responsible for consistently and accurately carrying out your duties as well as the provision of a high quality and efficient service, providing this in a confident and courteous way to service users.

You should have experience of working within an administrative environment, using multiple computer systems and managing data (electronic and paper-based).

Full compliance with local procedures, deadlines and best practice will be a key part of the role.
