Due to continued growth and development, WRC is looking for a **Waste Site Banksman **to join our rapidly growing team and coordinate all traffic operations at our Headquarters in Inchinnan.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working and dedicated individual that wants to join a forward-thinking business ahead of a major expansion.
**Role Description**
Our Waste Site Banksman role is a full-time, permanent position. Daily tasks include:
- Coordinating the movement of all HGV vehicles and plant machinery in and out of the site
- Ensuring traffic operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
- Monitoring the traffic management system and reacting promptly and professionally to any accidents that may occur
- Inspecting incoming loads and liaising with the weighbridge to ensure accurate information is recorded
- Responsible for ensuring all vehicle drivers adhere to site rules ie conforming to the site speed limit and wearing the correct PPE
- Practicing a high level of Health & Safety to help minimise accidents on-site
- Reporting vehicle and plant defects
- Inspecting vehicles that enter the site and ensuring all visitors are provided with the correct PPE upon entry
**Desirable Qualifications and Skills**
- Experience in a site traffic management role is essential
- Previous experience in identifying different waste types is essential
- A Traffic Marshall certificate is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Experience within a commercial recycling environment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong team player
- Good communication skills
- Excellent time-keeping skills
- A full, clean UK driving license
