Summary and purpose of position:
Place of Work: Bridgwater, TA6 6TS

The role is to assist with IT escalation support for all incidents across the contract and creating and implementing processes to support continuous improvement of the services provided by the Materials Management System.

Reporting into the Stock and Systems Manager

- Predominantly Monday to Friday
- daytime hours operational between 7am and 5pm

Duties and responsibilities:

- Acting as point of contact for any IT queries to do with MMS (Materials Management System) and taking appropriate action
- Reporting and escalating all relevant information to stakeholders - Internal and external
- Working with internal colleagues, suppliers, and the client to support with IT issues
- Identifying different priorities and escalating them accordingly
- Communicating process changes to the on-call support team
- Actioning all incidents within the SLA, reporting, and escalating where appropriate
- Creating and implementing processes to continuously improve the system
- Progression and resolution of all incidents
- Assigning and maintaining access rights to Manhattan and shared inboxes
- Chair regular meetings - Service manager and Manhattan
- Creating reports for various management on systems outputs
- Supporting/Covering Delivery Management System (DMS) in the DMS colleagues’ absence

Experience, skills and attributes:

- Communicating at all levels for a coherent IT outcome
- Experience of working with third party service providers to resolve issues
- Computer literate; Microsoft package
- Desirable experience: ServiceNow or other IT ticket systems Experience of working in a logistics role
