**The Post**:
As exciting opportunity has arisen to provide clinical leadership to the National Police Care Network, a National Strategic Network within National Services Division (NSD), NHS National Services Scotland.

NSD is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Lead to provide clinical leadership to the Network.

Working closely with a range of stakeholders in health and social care, Police Scotland and wider justice partners, the post holder will have a key strategic role in providing national clinical leadership to ensure a co-ordinated approach to the continuous improvement of NHS Police custody healthcare services. The role will provide clinical leadership to support NHS Boards and Health and Social Care Partnerships to deliver of person centred care to the highest standard, in accordance with the Healthcare Improvement Scotland Inspection Standards as well as the delivery of forensic medical services.

Applicants will be clinical leaders in their field with experience of working at a strategic level and ideally a national level. A proven record in leading service improvement, ability to work across traditional organisational, geographical and professional boundaries and a demonstrable understanding of the ethos of networks are essential.

Applicants must have a current substantive role as an NHS Scotland employee and have the support of their Clinical Director/Head of Nursing/Service Lead for this post to be incorporated into their job plan. The employing NHS Board will be recompensed for the agreed sessional commitment on the basis of evidence of actual backfill costs incurred to release the individual to fulfil the Nurse Lead role requirements.

**Location and Working Pattern**:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.

Work Pattern - Monday to Friday/Sunday, 2 PA’s per week

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
