The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is currently looking to recruit Complex Needs Practitioners (Level 2) for our brand new service based in Kirkintilloch.

**Requirements**:

- Ideally you'll have or be willing to work towards obtaining your SVQ-3 in Health & Social Care
- Previous experience of working with a range of individuals with a Learning Disability / Autism Spectrum / Complex Needs
- Excellent verbal and non verbal communication skills

Our service in Kirkintilloch is a Registered Care Home model, consisting of two purpose built/designed bungalows that will each accommodate three individuals with complex support requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand new service and assist with its development; the six individuals come from in the main longer term care within current health board sites and some with both physical as well as behavioural support requirements.

Our Positive Behaviour Support Team with work in partnership with service management around our induction for staff and the creation of a learning pathway that ensures our staff are supported in their development and can offer the best support to individuals in Waterloo.

**About the Role**:
Your responsibilities will depend on the needs of the individuals that you support and can include:

- ** Social Support**:

- Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming etc.
- ** Medical Support**:

- Administering and monitoring medication.
- ** Personal Care**:

- Assist people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, arranging visits with professionals such as dentists, doctors or opticians, assisting with incontinence care.
- ** Practical Support**:

- Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland provides personalised and outcome-focused support to over 2800 individuals in their own homes across Scotland, making us the country's largest provider of social care. We support individuals with a variety of different needs such as physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse and autism. Some of the people we support can present challenging behaviour or require a high level of personal care.
