**The Role**

**The Core responsibilities**:

- Ownership of the Project-Lite quality planning tool and decision making at Project-Lite meetings.
- Assessment of quality implications via customer enquiries and support quality investigations
- Supplier quality assessments, reporting on suitability of suppliers, required inspection standards and make recommendations. Collate and report on Supplier Quality Assurance data strategically.
- Product Quality Planning / sign off for new product designs / drawings ensuring all necessary specifications and tolerances are accurately detailed and assess all quality risks / continuously review past experiences.
- Advise on prototypes being fit for purpose and define the acceptance criteria for prototype samples.
- Approve proposed production tooling, process, and specify required controls.
- Define required receiving inspection standards.
- Support the process of project reflection and lessons learned for each major project.
- Define and maintain requirements to achieve Quality accreditations such as ISO 9001and drive audit processes in line with this. Includes Environmental accreditations and compliance.
- Advise on quality accreditations required by suppliers and the actions necessary to achieve them.
- Support all company divisions in the creation of quality / compliance SOP’s

**The Person**
- Proven knowledge and competence in quality and environmental disciplines.
- Problem solving skills using specific analysis tools.
- Strong organisational skills including practical experience and knowledge of auditing and compliance with relevant accreditation standards.
- Self-motivated with the ability to lead strategic quality initiatives and company vision.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively in multi-functional teams.
- “Hands on”, practical knowledge of the quality aspects involved in the manufacture of plastic parts by extrusion and injection moulding.
- Sound decision making and communication skills. Ability to present logically and influence Senior Management.
- Agile mind-set, flexibility and positive disposition required of a key player in a small, fast moving business.
- Experience of working with Far East and Southern Asian suppliers would be advantageous.

Salary -£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Working hours - 39.5 per week Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 4:30 pm

The Company operates Quality and Environmental Management Systems that has BS EN ISO9001:2015 (QMS) and BS EN ISO14001:2015 (EMS) Certification including aspects specific to the supply of components and equipment to the Retail Industry.

All personnel are to understand the requirements of Harrison Quality and Envi40000ronmental Management Systems and encouraged to abide with Harrison Policies, Memberships and Certifications as issued from time to time and updated via the Company’s intranet.
