Quality Controller

**About the role**
We are recruiting Quality Controllers to assess and monitor stock quality in accordance with agreed standards and customer specifications. The postholders will also be required to complete relevant documentation in the agreed timeframe and communicate waste levels to relevant stakeholders. In addition, the postholders will work collaboratively with other departments.
**About you**
You will have a proven track record in quality control. Ability to work flexibly to meet fluctuating business needs. Ability to use your initiative and work effectively as part of a team are also essential for this rewarding role.
**Reporting to**: Quality Control Supervisor/Senior QC
**Hours**: 32 guaranteed minimum hours per week over 4 days, to include at least one day at the weekend, variable working patterns available, will be discussed on the interview stage
**Location**: Orchard Farm, School Road, Salford Priors
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
- To perform thorough inspections and checks on products, materials, or processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and customers’ specifications.
- To maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure consistent quality across all stages of production.
- To maintain accurate records of quality control activities, test results, and other relevant data. Prepare detailed reports highlighting any non-conformities, defects, or quality issues discovered during inspections.
- To complete relevant documentation in the agreed timeframe.
- To communicate waste levels to relevant stakeholders.
- To be aware of internal stock management systems and the synergy between the raw materials claim process.
- To participate in tracking and achieving Line Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), working collaboratively with the production team to meet or exceed set targets.
- To maintain current technical knowledge.
- To wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all time.
- To maintain clean areas of work.
- To work collaboratively with other departments
- To comply with all Angus Soft Fruits’ policies and procedures.
- To comply with health and safety legislation.
- To proactively participate in the individual performance management process, achieving SMART targets and continuous personal developments.
- To fully participate in the development and achievement of the Salford Priors Team Vision.
- To undertake any other duty commensurate with the role

- Previous experience in fresh produce
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to use initiative and as part of a team
