Transport Compliance Assistant

This is an exiting opportunity to support the Transport Management Team in operating the transport function to ensure effective support to the Planing Operations. You will play an important role in ensuring that we operate in full compliance of all laws and legislation, ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, the role will include:

- Collate departmental KPIs to include:

- Daily Defect Reporting
- OTIF
- Driving Style Scores
- Tachograph Infringements
- Incidents
- Paperwork completion and receipt
- Reducing dead mileage
- General Non-compliance

Control the booking and monitoring of driver’s holidays

Complete Vehicle downloads in line with company process

Ensure all Driver Card downloads are competed regularly in line with company process

Monitor completion of driver training and ensuring completion

Provide Purchase Orders to service providers

Ensure correct filing of driver and vehicle documentation

Work with drivers to drive compliance to JET processes and Transport KPIs

Work with Transport Manager to maintain and record driver performance

Support Transport Manager and Transport Director with HR Issues.

Provide support in maintain and acheiving Accreditation Applications

Perform ‘Yard Walks’ to monitor vehicle/trailer cleanliness & condition

Support the Transport Manager in managing driver compliance and performance.

Perform driver debriefs

Deputise for Transport Manager when absent

Skills & Abilities

Logical thinking and clear communication skills, ability to communicate with all key stakeholders.

Intermediate IT skills with working knowledge of MS Office

Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative

Good administration skills

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Operator Licence Awareness Training
- Knowledge of Transport Legislation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £28,000.00 per year
