My client in Ipswich is looking for an Income Officer to join their team to support them with a 6 month interim position.
**What is involved?**:
- To work proactively to identify potential loss of income and adopt early intervention practices to prevent the escalation of arrears, prevent tenancy breakdown and prevent escalation of need.
- Work collaboratively with your colleagues and partner agencies to ensure that the council maximises income recovery alongside tenants getting the very best service and opportunities to live independently and safely in their homes.
- Monitor all aspects of income recovery, taking decisive action to implement solutions to prevent the escalation of debt owed to the council.
- Adopt safe working practices to comply with legislation, policies and procedures, while mitigating risks posed by challenging behaviour, identifying and recording accurate information to minimise risks to others.
**Why you?**
You will ideally have housing or social housing experience, but it is essential that you have previous income collection experience as they need someone that will be able to pick this role up quickly. You will have a high performing mindset and work towardsachieving targets.
You must have a driving licence as you will be required to visit different sites.
**What is in it for you?**
Salary £13-£15 per hour depending upon experience
Monday to Friday hours, 37 a week between 8.30am-5.30pm
Opportunity for hybrid working depending on business needs.
