**This role**

We are seeking a part time fundraiser to join our Income Generation team. The role will work closely with our Corporate Fundraiser and will involve identifying and raising new fundraised income from a variety of corporate and individual supporters, alongside working to maintain established fundraised income. The role will have a particular focus on raising funds in two of our key geographies; Suffolk and Essex, alongside supporting our other geographical areas where appropriate. The role involves working closely with operational colleagues to identify and generate income to support our programmes in line with the Trusts strategic aims.

Able to meet goals and deliver targets with good organisational skills. You will be a team player who is also able to work using your own initiative. **Main Role Functions**:(NB In addition to these responsibilities, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required)
- To identify and deliver new fundraised income in Suffolk and Essex, alongside our other key geographies to support our services,
- To maintain and develop fundraised income from a current supporter base in Suffolk and Essex and other key geographies where required.
- Work with operational colleagues to identify and generate income to support programmes that will deliver the Trusts strategic aims
- Ensure that all data is recorded in line with fundraising guidelines

**Main Duties**:

- Manage, maintain and grow Papworth Trust’s fundraising activities to secure sustainable income growth against agreed targets, to maximise return on investment for the Trust
- Manage and maintain key relationships within all sectors
- Deliver fundraising events on behalf of the Trust, creating cost effective opportunities for involvement in new events where possible
- Act as an ambassador for the charity at external events
- Ensure that all activities meet with Charity Commission requirements, the Data Protection Act and other relevant statutory obligations and best practice including the Institute of Fundraising’s code of conduct

**Safeguarding**
- To safeguard the health, well-being, and safety of the customers we work with, some of whom may be classed as vulnerable people or adults at risk. In the event of a risk to a customer becoming apparent or if concerns arise about a vulnerable person’s welfare, to immediately report these concerns in line with the appropriate policy and procedure

**Health and safety**
- To lead health and safety within your team setting clear examples of good practice, ensuring they report accidents and near misses
- Work within the organisations health and safety policies and procedures

In addition to these responsibilities, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required

**Knowledge / Qualifications**

Knowledge of Fundraising Regulations

Understanding of disability issues

Knowledge of the charity sector

**Experience**

Experience of charity fundraising over a range of methods

Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Power-point

**Skills & Abilities**

Strong communication skills with a high standard of accuracy

A proactive, confident and persuasive communicator

Ability to meet goals and deliver targets

Good organisational skills to plan and manage irregular workloads

Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
