Bank Sonographer | Buckshaw Hospital | Bank Contract
The role
We currently have an exciting vacancy for a qualified and experienced Bank Sonographer to join the team at Duchy Hospital. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional ultrasound service, ensuring clinical safety at all times together with high quality patient care. You will be responsible for conducting a wide range of ultrasound examinations and reporting on findings, providing crucial information for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Where you’ll be based
Buckshaw Hospital is the third day case hospital to have been built and opened by Ramsay in the last two years. The new development is located at Matrix Park, Buckshaw Village, Chorley. It is an extension of services offered by Euxton and Fulwood Hall Hospitals. With a day case focus, the team are concentrating on moving key specialities into Buckshaw that operate on a day case pathway
What you will bring with you
- HCPC Registration
- PGDip in Medical Ultrasound / DMU equivalent
- Have significant experience working as a Sonographer, ideally within the NHS or a private sector
- Experience of working with Clinical Leads in specialist areas to develop services, and with a multi-disciplinary team
- Be able to independently perform, interpret and report general ultrasound examinations
- Manage your own workload, as well as that of your team, and be confident as a lone worker Sonographer
- Be able to assess and refer patients if further examinations/interventions are required
