An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated individual to join our UGI cancer team as a Pathway Navigator. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering earlier cancer pathways by ensuring a coordinated and smooth service for patients through their pathway.

We are keen to hear from individuals who have the necessary drive and motivation to support service delivery.

The Cancer Pathway Navigator role will be involved from the beginning of the patient’s pathway and will support the clinical team in implementing early diagnostic pathways for patients with suspected cancer to achieve definitive diagnosis by day 28. They will ensure all patients move through the pathway without delay which will ultimately lead to a quicker diagnosis and treatment.

With frequent contact with patients and their families, it is essential that the post holders are emotionally resilient with a caring and sensitive attitude. They will also have excellent communication skills to liaise with a wide range of health professionals to ensure tests and appointments are coordinated and scheduled in a timely manner and patients are kept informed at all times.
