**Hours**: This is predominantly a 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Sunday role (minimum of 40 hours per week). You may occasionally be asked to work evenings (with advance notice) and also to attend events abroad. Working hours should be considered relevant to the level of work and responsibility and you should expect to work a minimum of two weekends per month.

**Job Summary**

As the UK Trade Sales Advocate, with guidance from the Cask Custodian and Group General Manager, your main focus is to drive cask and bottle trade sales though the implementation of a dynamic sales strategy, appropriate standards, procedures and correspondence that will facilitate the ease of purchase. You must actively seek out individuals, groups and markets in which to promote the sale of new fill casks, mature casks for bottling and bottle sales whilst at all times keeping a timely and rigidly maintained enquiry response system.

You must remain aware of all related products and their costs to enable a proactive approach to customer needs and market trends.

You must promote the bulk sale of all distillates, by actively seeking appropriate markets in which to sell into. You must seek to be fully knowledgeable in the world of whisky, and whisky production, and you will bring your expertise to all departments of Annandale Distillery staff and look to raise the level of knowledge and maintain the highest of standards in all areas of your main duties outlined below.

You will also maintain the aesthetic and be sure to deliver the highest quality in all businesses.

**Main Duties**:

- You will help maintain a fit-for-purpose CRM system.
- deal with sales enquiries in an efficient and timely manner.
- With help from the Cask Custodian and Group General Manager you must learn the required information to be able to deliver an informed sales pitch that makes purchasing products easy for the enquirer/purchaser, including financial breakdowns, personable engaging script, pertinent POS material and payment system.
- Organise and attend offsite events both nationally and internationally. Representing all Annandale brands/businesses.
- You must help produce an annual event planner with the assistance of the Cask Custodian.
- You will collate all financial information to understand cost and resulting income for all events attended so as to create a transparent view of event ROI.
- Multi-channel Lead Generation.
- You will cold call whisky related retail businesses (distributors, supermarkets, shops, ecommerce etc), seeking to make appointments with decision makers, which you will attend in person with a view to securing orders.
- Facilitation of tastings either online or in person for private groups and whisky related retail businesses.
- You must be proactive in developing ideas to highlight Annandale’s spirit brands and work with the Cask Custodian and Sales Manager to bring these ideas to life
- When needed you must be available to help tour guides maintain a 7 day a week working rota, helping to host large party bookings and events or taking hourly classic tours, and cover the retail shop when required.

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
