A new and exciting role is available, working for a local hospitality and leisure group in Annan; but can literally take you places around the world
We are looking for an ambitious sales person who can support the award winning Distillery, situated in Dumfries and Galloway.
The whiskies have grown significantly in the last 12-18 months across international markets, as consumers begin to enjoy the whiskies around the globe. Over the next 5 years, they have an extremely ambitious & exciting growth plan for their popular Single Malt whiskies.
As the
** International Trade Sales Representative,** you will help grow sales revenues, volumes, and distribution for our brands across all international markets. This role is key to supporting our ambitious growth agenda, working closely with the Head of Sales and Commercial Director to achieve these goals.

**The role**
- Commercial ownership for all designated international markets.
- Build & implement comprehensive joint business plans with new & existing distribution partners with the support of Head of Sales.
- Designate & manage A&P spend with each of our distribution partners, ensuring that all expenditure is accounted for and utilised efficiently to provide maximum GP for the business.
- Growing distribution for our brands in line with our strategy, with existing & new distribution partners.
- Focus will be upon growing brand visibility and brand awareness.
- Developing & executing activation plans within each international market to grow brand engagement.
- Nurture & develop existing distribution relationships to build strong long-term partnerships.
- Building trade advocacy by training our distributor teams and representing the brand at trade and consumer events across international markets as required.
- Representing the Distillery at key international whisky events to present to both the trade and consumers alike.
- Working cross-functionally with other departments such as Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance ensuring delivery against commercial and contractual agreements as well as brand alignment.
- Contribute relevant content & assets required to create marketing materials, showcasing activation's with our trade customers.
- Host international trade partners at the Distillery.
- Gain extensive knowledge of all international markets and the specific regulations of distribution to them, working closely with our Compliance Specialist to make sure Annandale brands are represented appropriately and legally in market.

**The ideal person**
- Experienced in partnering with distribution partners in the BWS category, with a proven record of growing long-term business.
- An ability to win and nurture new business with distributors.
- Commercially aware, with formidable selling and negotiation skills.
- Results-driven - Deliver ambitious growth plans with all stakeholders.
- A passion for Single Malt whisky, premium spirits, and luxury brands.
- Excellent attention to detail and be extremely well-organised.
- Somebody with initiative, that is able to self-motivate.
- Enjoys a challenge within a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for building relationships both internally and externally.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Language skills desirable.

**Hours and pay**
40 hours per week.
Work life balance scheme.
Starting from £35,000 per annum, potential to develop and grow with the business.
