**Main Aims of the Post**
- To provide front of house duty cover and work with women from Stockport, who are enquiring or reaching out to SWC for support.
- To work with women to identify support needs
- This is a non-case holding, assessment and referral post and is office based
- The role will include safety planning, risk assessment, safeguarding, and triage
- To support the Head of Services as she develops the quality standards for The

Women’s Centre.

**Key Relationships**

Internal - Clients, Chief Executive, Head of Services, Counselling and Psychotherapy Manager, Business/Administration Support Manager, Senior caseworker, Volunteer Co-ordinator.

**External - Potential clients, Statutory agencies, Partner Agencies**
- To triage levels of needs and risks of enquirie's and decide on the urgency of support required and the need for assessment/intervention.
- Undertaking full needs assessments with those deemed to meet the threshold of needing support quickly and maintaining notes and completing the appropriate documentation.
- Initiating and signposting the provision of appropriate services and resources. - Working with other agencies and organisations including co-working as required.
- To identify and manage risk issues and carry out relevant risk assessments such as MARAC and make any appropriate safeguarding referrals, in order to safeguard women and their children.
- Communication - To keep accurate and up to date records, using appropriate computer systems including evidence of assessments undertaken and visits completed, together with any other work carried out. All reports to be placed within client files.
- To make day-to-day decisions in accordance with the range of duties and within the parameters and supervision of the Head of Services and referring to the Head of Services as appropriate. Information Management
- To keep an accurate record of number of clients seen, telephone calls taken and the nature of such interactions, contributing to the SWC database
- To maintain accurate, confidential service-user records of interventions and contact details as per SWC policies and procedures.
- To complete all monitoring and evaluation systems and keep clear records on Charity Log.
- To produce reports and evaluations in consultation with other staff members on all work carried out and as requested, working within set deadlines.
- Personal/Professional/Development and Training
- To continually reflect on your own professional performance through participation in regular supervision sessions with line manager as well as ongoing informal consultation to keep supervisor informed of any changes that require management decisions
- To contribute to the development of the team and to new forms of work or service.
- To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of and awareness of developments in public policy and legislation regarding the support of vulnerable women with complex needs/trauma.

- To adhere to ethical, legal and quality standards
- To be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality, effective services
- To support and promote user involvement in all aspects of service development

and delivery
