HR Assistant

Immediate start 12 month contract
- Salary up to £26,000, excellent experience to progress in HR
**About Our Client**:
Our client is a logistics company based in Huddersfield. They are accessible via public transport and have on-site parking.
Key responsibilities of the HR Assistant will be to:
- Maintain the Company's ATS recruitment system including the creation of job adverts to be advertised on the company website, online job boards, recruitment agencies and internally as appropriate
- Produce contracts of employment and new starter packs, collate returned paperwork and set up new starters on the HR and Payroll system (iTrent)
- Maintain up-to-date driver contracts following pay negotiations or any legislative changes
- Process variations to terms and conditions of employment in iTrent and produce variation letters
- Process leavers in iTrent and produce confirmation of resignation letters
- Produce long service award, family-friendly and engagement letters using agreed templates
- Conduct exit interviews with all leavers and produce detailed reports on reasons for leaving
- Be the first point of contact for iTrent queries including holidays, sickness and access levels
- Be responsible for the maintenance of iTrent and monthly & ad hoc reporting
- Assist with the mapping and updating of HR processes and upkeep of organisation charts
- Opportunity to assist with note-taking in formal meetings including Disciplinaries and Grievances
- Undertake any ad-hoc administration tasks as required and provide cover for the other HR Assistant during periods of leave
**The Successful Applicant**:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced administrative role
- Experience of working as a HR Assistant or knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Proficiency in IT including Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and Excel
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
