**What is the Job**

The role of the Category Insights Exec is to draw upon strategically gathered data to help driving decisions related to sales, marketing and other business operations

**What does your day look like**:
Reporting into the Head of Category Insights and Customer Marketing, the Category Insight Executive will have a unique part to play in assisting the business with a range of duties related to analytics, reporting, performance evaluations, market insights, and trend identification. They will compile and present category and market insights and analytics, and interpret data to guide organizational strategy and choices, becoming experts in our categories, raising our authority, and developing deep knowledge about our competitive environment and industry.

**Key highlights from the job spec include**:
Using your own research on category trends to build insight packs: twice a year, insight packs providing a deep dive into current category trends and dynamics in order to influence product development and commercial argumentation + influencing customer briefs

You will become an expert on our markets, gathering data and analysis to support the sales team, helping create our sales literature, both digital and print, and giving Mademoiselle Desserts the competitive. We strive to assist our customers by passing on our expert category knowledge so they also become leaders in their field.

This role is multi faceted and no two days will be the same, you can lose yourself in the data and produce insightful reports from it.

**Who would succeed in this role?**

Someone who is highly analytical, driven and focused with a passion for food, problem solving and being able to turn large amounts of data into insightful content and presentations.

You should have a marketing degree, strong analytical skills and a curiosity for data visualisation.
