In this critical role, you’ll report to the Head of Customer Due Diligence for Corporate and Commercial Banking.

You’ll be managing the BAU CDD process for Event Driven and Periodic Reviews for existing clients across multiple products and industries.

You’ll be leading and developing teams responsible for customer risk assessments, the review of high-risk factors, transactional analysis and adverse media checks.

You’ll also support in providing FC and KYC advice and guidance to the CCB Relationship Teams as well as act as the first point of escalation

**The difference you’ll make.**
- Managing a team of c12 to 15 FTE to undertake Event Driven Reviews (EDRs) and Periodic Reviews (PRs) relating to Corporate & Commercial Banking clients
- Supporting the CCB CDD teams in providing guidance and advise to the front office colleagues in all financial crime related issues AML/Sanctions/ABC.
- Ensuring that all procedures and controls that the team are responsible for are fully documented and maintained and improved on an ongoing basis.
- Building effective working relationships within the Centre of Excellence and wider business area to effectively manage client lifecycle processes, whilst also identifying areas of improvement.
- Planning resource requirements in line with ongoing volume demands.
- Managing the provision of summary MI on the status of the escalation team’s activities and identifies risks/issues to the governance team for monthly and/or ad-hoc reporting.

**What you’ll bring.**

We are looking for people who can help shape, influence and transform the bank’s capabilities, ensuring we continue to disrupt financial crimes, and support and enable the right outcomes for our customers _. _
- You’ll have prior experience in within a Financial Crime role and you’ll have an in depth understanding of due diligence processes with a focus on Enhanced Due Diligence.
- You’ll have previous people management experience, with the ability to lead, coach and support a team.

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Working knowledge of the global legislative and regulatory framework for Financial Crime such as Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions and Anti-Bribery & Corruption.
- Professional qualifications with an appropriate body including qualifications in AML such as ICA, CAMS.
- Experience of working in the Financial Services industry with knowledge of Corporate and Commercial banking products and services.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skill.

Given the recent impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.

This is a permanent role which can be based in our offices in Milton Keynes, Bradford, Glasgow or Sheffield.
