**About the role**

Standing Together is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to join our expanding Housing Team. We are delighted to have received funding through MOPAC and Greater London Authority until March 2025, as a part of the Pan-London Accommodation Based Support for Victims/Survivors of Domestic Abuse Strategy, in response to Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act.

The DAHA Homelessness & Supported Accommodation project began in 2022, recognising the need for a dedicated framework of standards, tailored to the unique needs of homelessness and supported accommodation settings, to improve their response to domestic abuse.

The Business Support Officer will pay a crucial role in supporting this project and its growth and development. They will take the lead on the development of resources and support the Senior Lead in developing processes and generally supporting the team with overall project development and progression. This role will also offer wider support across the Housing Team working closely with other Programme Managers and the Head of Housing to support resource design and development and other relevant tasks. The successful post holder has the opportunity to support the professionalisation of the housing team’s work

**About Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse**

Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse (STADA) is a UK charity bringing communities together to end domestic abuse. We support organisations, including community and faith-based partners, criminal justice partners, housing, social services, healthcare workers and charities, to identify and respond effectively together to domestic abuse. Our aim is to help these communities, services, and agencies to work in partnership, so that people receive the best support at the time they need it. We do this through an approach that we pioneered, called the Coordinated Community Response (CCR). The CCR brings services together to ensure local systems truly keep survivors safe, hold abusers to account, and prevent domestic abuse.

Our model of a coordinated local partnership to tackle and ultimately prevent domestic abuse is now widely accepted as best practice.

**About the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA)**

The Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) was established in 2014 as a partnership between three agencies who are leaders in invocation in address domestic abuse within housing: Standing Together, Peabody and Gentoo housing associations.

Our mission is to enhance the UK housing sector’s status within the coordinated community response (CCR) to domestic abuse by transforming how they respond to domestic abuse so that victims/survivors have a home where they are safe and live fear free. We achieve our mission through DAHA membership, accreditation, regional group facilitation, and training for housing providers and local authorities, as well as national policy influencing through our National Housing and Domestic Abuse Policy and Practice Group.

**Purpose of the role**

This is an exciting time in DAHA’s Homelessness & Supported Accommodation Accreditation development. We are expanding the project team for our new DAHA accreditation framework for homelessness and supported accommodation organisations, and are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to come on board to support with the ongoing development of the project. BSO is a crucial role within the team and will hold various responsibilities, vital to the success of the overall project and wider housing programmes. This role would be well suited to someone with experience of or a strong understanding of domestic abuse and/or homelessness services, with a passion for ensuring survivors experiencing multiple disadvantage are at the centre of the homelessness sector’s domestic abuse response and with a high level of IT and design skills.
