EuroCaps are a world class Soft Gelatin Capsule Contract Manufacturer. We supply the nutritional supplement and OTC markets across Europe and worldwide. Based in Tredegar, South Wales and founded in 1994, we operate from a state-of-the-art GMP facility which has seen over £20m invested in our facilities and innovative new product lines, we are also licensed by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

We specialise in the manufacture of complex, vegetarian and speciality softgels, simply providing one the highest quality softgel products available. We manufacture over 2.5 billion softgel capsules per year and currently employ around 350 people at our site in Tredegar, with exciting and ambitious future growth plans.

We are currently looking to add to our talented workforce and have a fixed-term opportunity available within our Procurement and Supply team.

**MATERIALS SUPPORT CONTROLLER - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract**

The Materials Support Controller will report to the Materials Manager and will support the Procurement and Supply team in the completion of a broad range of duties related to inventory management and the oversight of products and materials.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To support and engage with the use, and ongoing development of Microsoft NAVision (NAV) to accurately manage raw material requirements in line with stock rotational best practice.
- To manage departmental raw material Purchase Order issue to, and subsequent acknowledgement from our global supply base, in a timely manner, aligned to departmental metrics and KPI's
- Supporting the team with expediting concerns, escalating matters of concern in a timely manner to the Materials Manager as required.
- Supporting import materials regarding clearance instructions and documentation
- To ensure stock-turn and shelf-life aspects are managed, you will utilise our central NAV system as well as your own skills within Excel e.g. to generate reports of forward demand, managing exceptions accurately and consistently thereby ensuring our Operations department are fully serviced to achieve customer OTIF KPI's.
- Working with and supporting the Senior Materials Controller to manage such tasks is a key function of this role.
- Supporting colleagues in areas where background reviews/administrative tasks ensure critical system information is consistently accurate and timely, such areas would include:

- Weekly counts (packaging and bulk items)
- Call off orders are in place and aligned to demand (wipes, cartons etc.)
- Alert sourcing team of contract-end timings, helping ensure continuity of supply

**Departmental Representations**

The role enjoys opportunities to represent the department and business to both internal and external stakeholders. You will be expected to conduct yourself in a professional, competent, and positive style whilst always remaining approachable. Our Procurement and Supply team provides solutions and ensures continuity of supply in, what can sometimes be, challenging times, during which your outward persona can influence a beneficial outcome.

Representation of Procurement and Supply at meetings and during project team sessions are a common occurrence where you manage feedback and escalation accordingly.

**Systems**

Key systems such as NAVision (main data systems), Preactor (planning and scheduling), and our Quality management software (QPulse) will continue to be developed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory aspects. You will engage positively in support of change and improvement, especially in areas of direct impact to your daily tasks, for example:

- MRP development for all raw material demands
- Raw material kitting
- Planning integration between NAV and Preactor
- Background data housekeeping
- Change controls, deviations etc

**Metrics and KPIs**

Measuring performance and setting stretched, but achievable targets promote continuous improvement. You will be familiar with the current metrics and work diligently to meet ongoing targets, supporting and encouraging, and leading by example. Whilst new metrics will complement, or surpass existing metrics, you will be expected to maintain statistics for certain departmental KPI's.

**Operational Excellence**

Active participation with developments that support out overall drive toward operational excellence. Such actions would include partaking in special projects, departmental representation on operational Gemba walks, and the general desire to continuously seek improvement in all tasks.
