**About the role**
Balfour Beatty are currently looking for an** Administrator **, to join our Asset & Technology Solutions team based in **Newark.**

**What you'll be doing**
- Communicate daily with suppliers to track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials, updating the buyers about any potential problems or delays.
- Have excellent organisational, procurement and administrative skills, with a measured approach to decision making, prioritising and the ability to ensure best value.
- Expedite and obtain internal approvals for purchase orders, billing and undertake credit control.
- Maintain accurate and secure paper based/electronic filing systems, including archiving.
- Maintain full confidentiality of sensitive business issues
- Process and input payroll transactions.
- Be fully conversant in MS Office to produce a range of spreadsheets, documents and presentations, as required
- Perform ad hoc project work, as required
- Support the work of other Administrators during periods of absence or unexpected high volumes of work activity

**Who we're looking for**
The following qualities/experience are essential:

- Experience of working in a similar role, ideally in the Plant Hire sector
- Clear customer focus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Clear drive and ambition
- Ability to effectively manage conflict and negotiation
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- Strong communication skills, together with a proven ability to build and
maintain good working relationships
- Strong computer skills - focused on Excel / Word / PowerPoint and ideally conversant with other software, e.g. MS Project.
- Good Team working skills.
- Experience of transactional, construction related procurement activities desired.
