Applications Support Apprentice

BASIC FUNCTIONS: This entry-level/apprentice position provides Technical Application Support as needed under supervision. This position will provide on the job training & exposure to Digital & Business Applications used globally within the organisation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 A levels (or equivalent BTEC qualifications) grade A*- C, technical certifications, or equivalent work experience required
- Exposure to an IT/Application environment will be beneficial but not necessary
SKILLS:
- Passionate about starting a career in Technology- Good written and oral communication skills- Able to build relationships with key stakeholders- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with others, particularly around topics they may not have as much knowledge on as you- Excellent customer service skills- Great organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise these accordingly- Interest in analysing data and explaining your findings- Basic knowledge of some IT programmes (Microsoft Excel and Office) and confidence learning how to use new software- Problem resolution skills- Opportunity to learn corporate business systems, e.g Oracle, Digital, SalesForce, Eloqua, OneTrust, Splunk, API's- Being proactive and able to work on own initiative.- Entrepreneurship, creativity, out of the box thinking.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assisting the Technical Service Owner function as part of the Global IT Application support services- Contribute to an efficient and effective Support service, including adhering to Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators and other measures that promote a valuable support service to the business- Review tickets within Service Management, driving and managing service acceptance using established priorities- Undertakes daily operational checks (Incident, requests & Problem) as defined and trained by the wider team- Participate in projects as required- Work with multiple teams including external vendors to drive continuous service improvement- Assist with Service Transition for any project moving into IT Operations- Participate & contribute to Service Reviews and Vendor Management- Participate in regulatory audit activities- Perform basic proactive tasks for capacity & demand management, disaster recovery processes with guidance & training- Collaborate with supporting teams (within IT Operations, Developments, Suppliers, Solution Groups) as required- Identify and drive operational efficiency improvements- Potential for travel and experience exhibitions
