**About the role**:
AXA UK are recruiting a Claims Transformation Risk Partner on a 12 month fixed term contract to be responsible for driving the Risk & Control agenda across the UK Health business with a very clear understanding of the factors that drive the risk profile, and risk to the end customer during a claims process.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Ensure that the proposed Claims Transformation initiatives deliver within risk tolerance, partnering with initiative sponsors to identify, classify, measure risks and ensure they are monitored and owned by the project leads
- Ensure mitigation approaches (tactical and long-term) are clear, trade-offs between cost reduction and risk levels are transparent and accepted and appropriate visibility of conduct and compliance risks with SMF-accountable Executives, in accordance with SMCR
- Liaise with, and pulling expertise from the 1st line Head of Conduct and Compliance and 2nd line Compliance, where applicable, to inform approach. Feeding outcomes of the project partnering into broader risk and compliance updates
- Identify existing KRI's associated with claims journeys and perform a gap analysis against internal and external best practice
- Liaise with the Enterprise Governance & Reporting team to identify appropriate audiences for the claims risk KRI's - for example formal governance review versus informal operational oversight - and land embedment approach, roles and responsibilities
- Propose amendments to control environment to optimise long-term impact of cost reduction Transformation initiatives and ensure alignment to Consumer Duty principles / mitigate foreseeable customer harm during customer journeys

**About you**:
**What we’re looking for**:

- Demonstrable expertise in Operational and Conduct Risk, with a track record of championing good customer outcomes and pragmatic, commercially-minded operational solutions
- Hands on experience of the key risks associated with a large-scale retail financial services provider
- Practical experience of Lean / Six-sigma and the design of efficient customer centric operations/controls
- An up-to-date awareness of the UK regulator’s expectations of a Healthcare insurance provider, including expertise in working with regulated and non-regulated products
- In-depth understanding of risk and control assessment and assurance techniques, including Key Risk Indicators
- Ability to engage with staff at all levels of the organisation with challenge, empathy and pragmatism
- Excellent ‘to the point’ report writing & communication skills with an attention to detail
- A people centric leadership style, which drives engagement and ongoing capability building across all levels of the team and wider organisation, building a culture of positive energy, empowerment, creativity and teamwork.
