The Head of Workforce will work as part of the Corporate Directorates Senior Leadership Teams, and have dual accountability to the Deputy Chief People Officer enabling better coordination of support across the Trust from the People Directorate and identifying opportunities to improve our People services. The Head of Workforce will be a part of the People Directorate professional senior leadership team and will be the HR expert leading a small team of HRBP’s to deliver the people agenda across several Directorates, working closely with the Communities of Experts in the central teams.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust comprises five of the UK’s best-known hospitals - Guy’s, St Thomas’, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Royal Brompton and Harefield - as well as community services in Lambeth and Southwark, all with a long history of high-quality care, clinical excellence, research and innovation.

We provide specialist care for patients including heart and lung, cancer and renal services as well as a full range of local hospital and community services for people in Lambeth and Southwark.

The Head of Workforce post will provide HR advice and support to at least six Executive Directors across the Corporate Directorates. This role will play a pivotal part as a key member of the Corporate Executive Directors Senior Leadership Team. The purpose of this post is to strengthen the HR advice and support to Executive Directors in the Corporate Centre aligned to working with the People Directorates corporate teams.

Leading opportunities for improvement and change through thinking and acting differently in how we attract and harness the talent of our people, provide insight on the impacts of organisational change on posts, support on organisational development, workforce planning and wider HR services.
