Business Services Assistant

Michelmores is a Top 100 Law firm with offices based in Exeter, London, Bristol and Cheltenham. The Exeter office is seeking a Business Services Assistant to join their busy Business Services team. The team is looking for an individual with a proactive approach, a strong eye for detail and accuracy whilst developing trusted working relationships. This role will be reporting into the Business Services Supervisor.
**The Role**:
We are recruiting for a Business Services Assistants to join our Exeter office working 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday on a full-time permanent basis.
**Primary focus**
- Open and distribute incoming post to the relevant departments
- Prepare and frank the appropriate postage to outgoing post
- Stationery ordering and stock control
- Scanning, photocopying and printing small and large documents prepping them for a range of people including clients and courts
- Organising couriers
- Any other general support and administrative tasks
**Potential wider support**
- Entering files and deeds (including Wills and Probates) onto the system and filing the physical file in the archive store
- Retrieving files and deeds and delivering to the relevant person
- Supporting with any archiving queries or issues
- Sorting, pruning, and preparing old files for review and arranging their destruction
- Liaising with off-site storage partner
- Helping the wider Operations team if required such as Reception and Hospitality, Facilities
**Experience and Qualifications Required**
- Good level of basic education including Grade C or above in Maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent)
- Competent with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook etc) and using data management systems
- Enthusiastic; friendly and a team player
- Excellent attention to detail
- Motivated
- A 'can do' approach to their work
