**Project Assistant - Explorify**:
**This is a York based, full time permanent role (37 hrs per week)**:
STEM Learning are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and organised individual who enjoys working as part of a team, to help maintain and improve a popular primary science website. The role will involve working with content and product developers to improve the website offering as well as promoting the website through social media and other channels to drive up engagement. In addition, the role will require the applicant to support the resources section of the STEM Learning website.

Applicants must have some experience of managing a website and social media communications along with excellent written and oral communication, and organisation skills. Experience in a primary education role would be useful, but not essential. This is a good opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience of website management and communications.

**The Role**:
This role requires someone who can support efforts to drive forward support to teachers, technicians and others by providing an effective, highly regarded STEM educational resource collection including Explorify which is seen as the ‘go to' place for support. This includes ensuring STEM Learning is able to deliver support in an efficient cost-effective manner, which anticipates future requirements as well as meets the current needs of schools and colleges. By doing so, this role contributes directly to achievement of our collective vision - a world-leading STEM education for all young people.
- Continuous and proactive development of the Explorify website, maintaining and enhancing our offer to ensure a high-quality service is available online.
- Extending the breadth of our service by broadening our online material and content to achieve greater impact, ensuring a quality assurance approach remains at the core.

- Able to respond quickly and effectively to opportunities, whilst maintaining and continuing to grow impact, value for money and reputation.

**Education**: Good GCSE's and A-levels

**Experience**:

- Proven ability to manage a range of media including websites and social media.
- Proven ability to manipulate data in spreadsheets.
- Experience in an education role, preferably primary school is desirable, but not essential.

**Personal Qualities**:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A positive and enthusiastic manner.
- Excellent attention to detail

**Other**:

- Flexibility of working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role at key times.
- The role is initially based full time in the National STEM Learning Centre in York with the possibility of working from home one or two days a week once the 6-month probation period is completed.
