**Brief Description**:
**To provide assistance as required to the project team in the delivery of projects.**:
**About the role (External)**:
**Key accountabilities**:
**1.** **Assist the programme and project management team in the delivery of projects.**

**2.** **Deliver individual projects or parts of projects in a safe, sustainable and environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP), Managing Successful Projects for Network Rail (MSP4NR), applicable Network Rail company rules and means of control (including standards), Railway Group standards, HMRI guidance where appropriate and other specific legislation including Construction Design Management (CDM) Regulations.**

**3.** **Provide a professional, consistent and effective project management service including the use of performance indicators and project reporting systems in accordance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP), Managing Successful Projects for Network Rail (MSP4NR), applicable Network Rail company rules and means of control (including standards) and guidelines.**

**4.** **Manage the production of project management plans and other associated project management documents.**

**5.** **Manage project budgets within agreed targets and provide periodic updates through the management review process.**

**6.** **Deliver regular progress reports on projects, including relevant risks and issues, to the Programme Manager.**

Essential
- Educated to HNC/HND level or relevant work experience
- Microsoft Excel and Word skills

Desirable
- Associate Member of the Association for Project Management or other professional body
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Green Belt trained
