**Brief Description**:
To support the programme management team in the everyday management of Regional change projects for which they are responsible.

**As a Project Management Assistant your role will be to support the successful delivery of team responsibility including stakeholder management, benefit management, schedule management, change management, risk management, reporting for governance meetings and general project administration. You will also work closely with the wider Regional Commercial team to support the efficient operation of the team.**:

**Some Key Accountabilities of the role**:

- Work as part of a project team, assisting to deliver projects to time, cost and quality through various phases in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Monitor and report programme and progress in accordance with project reporting systems and guidelines.
- Develop and integrate, effective support systems to enable the Project Manager to manage and control change.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide periodic progress reports.
- Support the Programme team in providing a safe working environment at all times during the execution of those projects under their responsibility.
- Comply with the Investment Competence Framework.

**Essential Criteria**:

- **Experience of supporting or delivering change projects in a complex environment**
- **Excellent communication skills, particularly written communications**
- **Experience in scheduling and tracking activity against a project plan**
- **Ability to produce and analyse business performance reports**
- **Experience Ability to work unsupervised and manage own workload**

**Desirable Criteria**:

- **Membership (or working towards membership of) the Association for Project Management**
- **A degree or equivalent**
- **Knowledge of safety, quality, environmental, commercial, and financial aspects.**
