Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive - Head of Department - Midsomer Norton

Our client is looking for either a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 4+ PQE to head up their Private Client department in Midsomer Norton. If you have less than 4 years PQE you will still be encouraged to apply. The position is predominantly officebased due to the seniority of the position and the responsibilities you will take on, but our client is open to discussing hybrid working conditions on a case-by-case basis. This role offers you an exciting and rare opportunity to manage a department at acompetitive firm, and this position is ideal for those who have prior experience in leadership and management roles seeking to take the next steps in their career.
Your New Role
Your new role will require you to take control of the day-to-day management of our client's Private Client department, where you will be responsible for monitoring and distributing matters, supervising fee-earning work undertaken by junior members of the department,and building the business of your department. Prior management experience in Private Client is ideal. The role offers you the chance to recognise fee-earning opportunities and help develop those opportunities for your department. You will be expected to practicegood management techniques, such as ensuring compliance with company policies, complete time recordings, take responsibility for financial control including managing the cash flow for the team through billing and payment procedures, and to maintain orderlyand up-to-date files.
