Modern, high-quality infrastructure is essential in enabling economic growth, a healthy environment and people’s quality of life and UK companies are amongst the best in the world in developing infrastructure. Infrastructure Exports: UK (IE:UK) is a partnership with leading UK infrastructure firms to help UK companies to form ‘Team UK’ consortia and to successfully bid and deliver large scale and complex international projects. The Export Strategy highlighted IE:UK as a key initiative.

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) supports UK companies to grow sustainably and, ultimately, to take their knowledge, expertise, and delivery to key markets around the world. Exports are a critical part of the UK economy and DBT ensures the benefits are shared across all regions and nations of the UK, supporting millions of jobs, and driving forward a truly ‘Global Britain’. The postholder will work closely with other sector teams (mainly airports, built environment, water, rail and sports) and other partnership teams (Government-to Government, Third Country Cooperation, and Clean & Green Infrastructure development) within the Sustainability and infrastructure directorate.

There will be potential for international travel and close working with ministers, senior officials, and business executives.
